the images below are of a page of 'The Book of Joshua' held in the ecclesiastical library in Rochester Cathedral. At some point in its long history the book has been damaged by a 'bookworm'. The void left by the 'bookworm' has been recreated from hundreds of (red) drawn shapes that were hand-cut and laminated together to form a 3-dimensional paper object. We have transformed the 'bookworm's' 3-dimensional journey into an object that can be carefully handled. The paper used to laminate the object came from a 1930's book about Britain's Cathedrals.
